Springtime

I have had so much fun "meeting" some of you as I have recieved comments, emails, and facebook messages with your email addresses. I read a couple of blogs of people I don't know and enjoy their posts, pictures, recipes, and commentary on life and motherhood. I am glad that others have found an interest in our little life.

Have I mentioned, I LOVE THE SPRING!!!
I love the sunny warm days and can do without the rainy ones in between.
I love the sign of new life as birds twerp and flowers begin to grow.
I love planning all the great things I'm going to do to my backyard that I'll never get around to.
I love driving with the windows down and opening the sunroof.
I love dressing Audrey in cute little spring outfits and not bundling up everywhere we go.
I love wearing shoes other than boots and walking outside barefoot.
I love knowing that winter is over for this year.
I love sitting outsdie for lunch with the sun on my face.
I love reading outside while Audrey naps.
I love feeling like my house is twice as big because we can play outside..finally.
I love Easter and buying new colorful decorations to brighten up the house.
HAPPY SPRINGTIME!!

Outside lunches with my two favorite people up Emigration Canyon. My nice clean little girl can get really dirty... and it's not even summer yet. She LOVES her new swing and could swing for hours on end if her Mom were up for it.

Don't forget to leave your email address so I can send you an invite.

Going private ASAP.

The Photographer and the Photographer's Assistant

We're back and I'm working on some collages of pics from the trip. To sum it up it was WONDERFUL!! We had a fabulous time and the weather even held for us. We both loved walking, eating, walking, SLEEPING, and walking and eating some more. We didn't go to one museum or do any must dos but the Eiffel Tower of course...Jeremy wanted to renew our vows. He's such a romantic. :) So for now, here are some of my collages. Since I wasn't "Mom" this week, I was a photographer and Jer was my assistant. It was a great set up!

So here's to being the "free-lance photographer" for a couple of days and not Mom. Though I have to admit I like being a Mom much better, I missed that little sweetie more than I can say!

Spring forward to

Paris! I am heading out tomorrow to drop Audrey off at my parent's house for the rest of the week while I go and meet Jer in Paris. He has one meeting over there and I decided to join him. I am so excited to enjoy the city and not feel pressured to see all the tourist spots since I have seen them before. The weather looks pretty good and sitting in a cafe reading and walking the Chanse Elysee with a crepe in my hand sounds like heaven for a wayfarer like me.

And Gymbo was his name-o!

It is amazing to see Audrey's development over the last year as we go to Gymboree each week. From three months old when she couldn’t roll over or do much of anything, to thirteen months and into everything. We both have so much fun!!

Wanted Man

Jeremy always tells me how busy he is at the office and how he can never get any work done because he is in meeting after meeting all day and never gets a second to himself. The few times :) I have complained about him coming home late or having to work at home, he has told me that I just don't understand what his days are like.

I think today I truly understood for the first time.

We stayed up in Park City last night for a change of scenery and picked up Jer around 5:30 (so I could get down to my gym class at 6 which he so graciously said he'd leave early for) which is EARLY for him. He thought it would be best if Audrey and I went up to the office so he had an escape plan. As we entered his office, there were three guys standing and waiting to get his attention on something. In the 6 minutes we chatted 3 more guys came in needing him. When we finally left the office, two more guys followed him down the hall needing just a moment of his time. An admin intercepted us near the door with some papers she needed confirmation on. Two more guys walked us down the steps and one out to the car just to get 2 minutes of his time. He told me every night he is "walked out" to his car by someone.

And the poor guy has to come home to ME... who so graciously (not really) needs him to take over Audrey duty the moment he walks in the door.

I kept laughing on our way home saying I couldn't believe what had just happened. It almost seemed as though Jer had set that up, unfortunately for him he didn't.

So a big shout out to MY MAN who somehow handles being pulled in so many directions and handles it oh so happily.

I even made it to my class on time!

I love to read

We had our second book group last night of 2009 and reviewed a very interesting book called The Thirteenth Tale. Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved to read. I would have my reading light on over my bed reading until much later than I was supposed to many nights of my childhood. Today more than ever I love to sit down (or lay down) to a good book and get lost in another life. I have really enjoyed book club over the last two years and am now serving as the 2009 Book Club President..somewhat self appointed. I thought I'd post our list of books we are reading and reviewing this year :
January 29th
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

February 26th
The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield

March 26th
A Grief Observed by C.S Lewis

April 30th
Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

May 28th
Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore

June 25th
Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury

July 30th
My Stroke of Insight by Jill Bolte Taylor

August 27th
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

September 24th
The Space Between Us by Thrity Umrigar

October 29th
The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio by Terry Ryan

November 19th
Planning for 2010

To prove my point, I am trying to decide weather to go to a SKDY sponsored MC Hammer Vanilla Ice concert or stay home and start a new book!

Sucked in

I took the plunge and signed up for Facebook tonight. I have already told myself that I am not going to get "too involved" seeing that I already have a high maintenance relationship with blogger. Why do I do this to myself knowing that adding one more website to my day is probably not the most productive thing I could be doing. At least I'm not twittering yet!

The funny thing is I am such a novice that I can't figure out how to view anyone's wall. I guess they have to say they'll be my friend first? Way too complicated, I like blogger where you can peruse through blogs of people you know and those you don't. I have found quite a few "friends" that don't know me but I know them because they have such cute blogs.
Do you ever wonder what your Mother did as a stay-at-home-mom with no blogging, let alone no internet to keep her "connected" through the day. Oh, that's right she probably called her friends to do play dates and go to lunch... Enough time wasted here, I better go check my Facebook account!
I am back after 45 minutes of Facebook emails and surfing (and could go for another 5 hours) and am now SURE that this was a very bad idea. How can I stop this destructive behavior?

The latest

O.K, I am so happy that headbands are in, especially ones with bows and flowers for grown ups!! I guess I just assume they're in because I saw them at Forever 21, Bebe, and Arden B (someone please tell me if I'm really reaching..:) ) Don't worry this is my only headband, I don't plan on borrowing Audrey's or having a whole drawer of them just thought it would be fun for a party we went to last night. I obviously dressed Audrey today and didn't realize until we were about to leave for church that we were a little too matchy-matchy.

With some of my drama lately I feel like I haven't given an update of Audrey for awhile. Ever since she turned one, she has become a little more of a challenge. She is not loving table food and would like if I fed her baby food 3 times a day (and so would I with less mess and 5 minutes vs. 25 ). Her sleeping has been eratic, she is down to one nap already (shoot), and ever since I have been back she is really clingy.. the price I pay for a couple days of v.k.

At almost 13 months some of AG's favorites are:

She loves her cell phone and we play with it back and forth a lot.
I had to put two because they are so cute and I love the hand motions!

Giving "loves" to her dollys and really anything she sees.
Climbing up my legs about 50 times a day. Did I mention she's been clingy?

Climbing up on EVERYTHING and getting into EVERYTHING.

Loving bath time

She's getting pretty good at her walker

and loves her rocket.

Is that really my house strewn with toys and "stuff" all over? Is that my daughter with food in her hair and shirt and dirty pants from crawling all over? No, not my house or daughter, I would never let them get so messy!
