My Dearest Audrey,

Today you are one year old! This past year has been the best year of your Dad's and my life. We love you so much and feel so blessed to have been chosen to be your parents. Your charisma and energy fill a room and you are loved by everyone around you. It has been so fun to see you grow and develop over the last year. You went from our little 5 1/2 pound peanut to a beautiful 20 pound toddler. Your Dad and I love to watch you, listen to you, and when you sleep talk about you. You have filled our lives with more love and care than we could have ever imagined.

Some noteworthy characteristics and favorites at 1 year old:

You are loud and boisterous. We don't understand all the sounds you make and the words you say but we love to hear you. (Except the grunts)

You have major separation anxiety but flirt with EVERYONE you see. You love to smile and talk to other people, it makes you very happy.

You have just started pulling yourself up on things and army crawl around the whole house.

You sleep on your stomach in all different crazy positions.

You are a great eater and love your Veggie Sticks especially.

You love to be the center of attention. (You are the center of attention).

You love your touch and feel books.

You love when your Daddy gives you leg massages.

You have the sweetest disposition and are a very happy baby.

You have a new dance move where you shake your shoulders and twist.

You love cell phones, laptops and remote controls.

You're not a very cuddly child but would much rather be on the move.

You never stop moving. Between arm waving, pointing, clapping, and ankle rolls you are non-stop motion.

You are Sweepers, Dear friend, Mrs. Twittle, Mrs. Twit, Girlfriend, AG, nut, and have many more pet names in the making.

We are so proud of you and the wonderful little girl you are becoming. We just hope we can keep up with you!

Love with all of our hearts,

Mom and Dad

One year is such a big milestone! They go from being completely helpless little creatures to toddlers who never stay still. It's so fun to see their personalities emerge. I always get such a sense of accomplishment when my kids hit their first birthday because I survived (what I think) is the hardest year. So congrats to all three of you! You made it!
